Events and Field Trips

Go Green Movies & Events

Bellevue Utilities hosts after-school film events usually in coordination with environmental clubs or Green Genius Teams. We offer a menu of film options all under 45 minutes. Events include a city host to introduce and close the film, prizes for all attendees, and a drawing for larger eco-prizes at the end of the film. A list of available films available upon request.

Field Trips

Wetland Walk: Explore a local wetland with a naturalist. Observe plants and animals and learn about the health of our greater watershed systems in this field trip offered by Bellevue Utilities (grades 4-5).

Cascade Water Alliance provides field programs and projects for all ages, including:
  • The Blue Team Stewardship Project (K-9) works with students, who participate in a local conservation project.
  • Aquatic Bugs Dip Field Experience (grades 2-12) is a field trip for students to visit a local water site and study aquatic insects and water quality.
  • Watershed Field Experience is a field trip for students to visit a local water site with a naturalist and observe plants and animals and learn about the health of our local watersheds.

Science Fair Booths

Carbon Yeti at a science fair booth.Bellevue Utilities provides booths and hands-on activities at science fairs, including:

  • Learning about protecting our streams with our Stream Team. Fun activities include our Poop Toss game, and hands-on fun with live aquatic bugs.

  • Waste Prevention and Recycling: learn how you can send less garbage to our landfills. Ask if our mascot, the Carbon Yeti, is available for a visit.
