Bellevue Utilities and King County offer a school-wide assembly and individual classroom workshops to teach Bellevue elementary students about the city’s waste reduction and recycling goals. Both the assembly and classroom workshops are tailored to align key messages that are specific to Bellevue. Workshops are available for 2nd and 3rd grade classes in the fall and 4th and 5th grade classes in the spring. There are multiple choices for workshops including: Healthy Habitat, Habitat Stewardship, Recycling Basics, Rethink and Reuse, Garbology, and Worm Bins.

Powerful Choices

Bellevue Utilities presents a program to explore the links between personal consumer choices and the health of Puget Sound and climate change. Workshops include a Land Workshop and a Water Workshop for 6th graders and a Climate Change Workshop for 7th graders.
